Gino Saccone ‘Metafonia’
Solo show by Gino Saccone from 24 April until 19 May.
The title of the show, Metafonia, embraces an ongoing series of works within Saccone’s practice that is concerned with the physical contingency of objects. The show combines textiles and works on mylar to build up abstract patterns and surfaces. The forms and surfaces of the two compositions are defined under the dramatic gravity of lighting in the former factory basement.
Gino Saccone was born in Jersey Channel Islands in 1979 and currently lives and works in London. He studied at Falmouth College of Art (2001), Royal College of Art (2008) and was a resident at Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten (2009- 2010). Recent exhibitions include: Everyone else was either busy or dead at Schau Ort Gallery, Zurich (2012); Maquette for an E-card at Supplement gallery, London (2012); Hairdoo for Pizza Man at Limoncello, London (2011); Everything beautiful is far away at Galerie Gabriel Rolt, Amsterdam (2010); Implant at UBS Bank, New York (2008).
