Tancarville works with the notions of absence/presence through a game of affections shared with an object. Living far away from each other, the dancers use their distance in the creation. The interaction with an object – a tissue – creates an unstable ground which obliges the movement to deal with a space changing constantly. The body intends to become the object, a pure plastic and abstract image.
